GOD’S CHILDREN UNLEASHED TO TRANSFORM THEIR WORLD
Parents, brothers and sisters: it is a great Joy for me to stand before this great gathering to share the Word of God with you. My prayer is that we would be encouraged and strengthened by our Lord and Saviour Jesus in chief to go into action to transform our world. Let us pray; Our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for bringing us this far. As we are coming to listen to Your Word, give us fresh understanding so that the children of God would transform their world in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.
“Today, I am preaching on the Theme: God’s children unleashed to transform their world”. God’s children are those who believes in the Name of Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as their Lord and personal saviour as John 1:12 states. The text To be unleashed means to send a very powerful team to perform a duty.
To be transformed means: to change a condition or situation for the better. A few years back we were being prepared, trained and made ready to go and take the nations for our Lord Jesus Christ. After equipping and training the children of God were now ready to be unleased to go out to transform our world.
Praise the Lord: let us read from the book of Acts 1:8, “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth. Amen. (NIV)
When the resurrected Christ was about to go back to heaven, he gave instruction to the apostles to remain in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit has come upon them before going out to bear witness of Him in Jerusalem, Samaria and indeed the whole world. The Apostles obeyed and waited in Jerusalem and when the holy Spirit came, they were unleashed and started bearing witness that same day. In fact Acts 2:10-41; records that on the very day that the Holy spirit come upon them, Peter the Leader of the Apostles preached to the crowd and witnessed about Jesus Christ and at the end, more than three thousand people believed in Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord.
Children of God after the apostles have been prepared and equipped by the power of the Holy spirit, they came out of the house and began to take possession of the world, starting from Jerusalem.
Children of God, it is time to be unleashed into our own Jerusalem and continue in Samaria and into the whole world to start the transformation agenda and bringing more people to Christ to be saved.
In 2kings 5:1-18 the story is told of a young Israelite called Gehazi told her madam, Mrs. Naaman, about the prophet in Samaria who could heal commander Naaman of his leprosy. This information, shared by the little girl led to the healing of Naaman who proclaimed that he will serve the only the God of Israel, hallelujah. If children are trained and empowered to go out with the Word of God, there will be transformation in our society. Halleluiah
Let us now read from 1 Peter 2:9, and I read from the NIV Bible, Beloved every important assignment must be given to a carefully selected or chosen team which is them trained and prepared to do that special work.
A nation like Ghana has many able bodied young men and women. But not everybody is a soldier. Men and women of the army are carefully chosen, trained and equipped for service.
We as children of God have been chosen out of the darkness of the word and made a royal priesthood a holy nation of God for the special assignment of going back to the world to bear witness of the power of our king. By performing His duty very well.
HOW DO WE TRANSFORM OUR WORLD
Many activities are involved in our going out to transform our world.
- We should take every opportunity to share the Word of God with friend in our school, homes, and communities. The apostles bever stopped preaching after the coming of the Holy Spirit.
- We must bear witness of Christ by our good way of life among the people we live with so that they will see our godly living and be challenged into obedience.
- We must show love, and care for the children’s around us. Love is what will attract them to us and give us the opportunity to preach to them.
- Let us pray for unbelievers without stopping. The devil has blocked the ears of the world so that they cannot hear the Word and understand it. If we fervently prayer for the salvation of souls, the power of the Holy Spirit will set captives free. Halleluiah.
But the question is: who are to go? My brothers and sisters in the Lord, we are all soldier in the army of the Lord. We have all been prepared, and equipped in the past. Now we have been unleashed to go on army works together, with individual soldiers, performing different duties. 1corinthians 12:12 – 31. The apostle Paul compared the church to the human body. Though it is one body but made up of different parts with different functions. You may not be the head but the hand, stomach, leg or eyes, ears, mouth etc. each part of the body has to perform it’s duties.
Parent, brothers and sisters, please you are part of the church which has been unleashed to transform our world. Hi, Hi Children.
When do we start the transformation agenda? It is today. We cannot afford to delay. The world is being filled with sin and demonic activities daily. The devil is working hard to take more people captive.
Let us arise and go. A soul may perish as we delay.
In conclusion, I urge all the children, the chosen generation to get involve in our agenda to transform our world. But if you are listening to me and you have not given your life to Christ, you have an opportunity to do that now. Pray this prayer from your heart after me.
Dear Lord Jesus Christ I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness, wash me with your precious blood and make me one of your children Amen let us pray. Our Father in heaven we thank you for today we are at your service, use us to posses and transform our world in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen!!!
