Honesty and transparency are only similar but not necessarily the same. Honesty waits to be questioned. Where are you coming from? The honest person will say the precise truth of where he or she went: “I went out with some friends.”
Transparency doesn’t wait to be questioned. They develop the responsibility of giving out details to who matters. The transparent person will send a message to whoever matters;
I thought of letting you know that I am out with my friends Peter and Daniel at so-and-so place for this reason. Expect me home at so and so time. They are proof-based. They deal in receipts, not just trust me; I won’t harm you.
Honest people EXPECT you to trust them. Transparent people MAKE you trust them. Transparency is a proof-based communication of an honest intention or act.
It is nice to live with an honest person but a great pleasure and relief to live or work with a transparent person. Upgrade your honesty into transparency. Communicate the genuineness of your heart and intentions with proof always. Transparency settles doubt in all relationships under any circumstance.
