REASONS YOUR WIFE DOES NOT AND MAY NEVER RESPECT YOU.
Respect is not cheap. Wives who run after their husbands and totally adore them both in private and public with sweet smile on their face didn’t do so because they just wanted to; they do it because the man is adorable!
LYING will make you lose anyone’s respect including your wife’s. No one respects a man who lacks integrity. A man whose words can’t be relied upon. Your wife can’t beat her chest and stand for you over a matter. You lie at the drop of a hat! When you swear you are going to Abuja, they find you in Lagos. Your word is not your bond! You lose your wife’s respect. It will take fasting, prayer, and the special grace of the Holy ghost for her to treat you as the head of the home.
YOU CHEAT. You run after anything in a skirt and shamelessly show it. You have no control over your sex drive. Men like this never command respect from anyone, let alone their wives.
YOU ARE VERY STINGY and even count the number of meat in the pot the day you manage to drop something for soup. No one respects a man who is self centered.
YOU ARE SELFISH: You think only about yourself. You never care what your wife is going through at any time. You do not listen to her, engage her, spend time with her, or find out areas where she needs help. You are always so much engrossed with yourself and your own needs.
YOU ARE NOT GROWING spiritually, financially, physically, emotionally. You are stagnant. You refuse to read good books or attend seminars\programmes that will help you grow.
YOU ABUSE HER A LOT: You always call her name’s, yell at her, embarrass her and treats her like a child whenever she makes mistakes.
YOU ARE NOT PRAYERFUL: You are lazy spiritually. You do not take the church seriously. You do not study your Bible, and you do not pray.
Before God asked anybody to submit to him, he did all that it takes to deserve it. He is holy, pure, faithful, dependable, and reliable, and even sacrificed his son to save us from the destruction in hell!
He has shown us an example of unconditional love and asks us to submit to his leading because his thoughts and actions towards us are for our good, excellent grooming, super success in life plus abundant peace and joy!
Nobody follows a bad leader. If anyone is foolish enough to do so, both fall into the ditch and land in sorry condition!
The man is the head of the house. You lead by your shining example and excellent character!
Don’t quote: “wives, submit to your husbands” if you are not submitting to God and your life is not worthy of emulation!
If you want your wife to respect, honour and cherish you for life, then work towards it. Deal with weaknesses that is hindering you from becoming the godly husband you should be. Your lying, cheating, domineering, proud, arrogant, lazy, laid back attitude will do your life and marriage no good!
Don’t ask for her unconditional submission if you don’t give unconditional love!
In life we reap what we sow!
Let your character be thy headship as the husband in the home, then watch thy wife honor thee, respect thee, and celebrate thee for life!
