Moral Lesson
Success demands 10 things from you
Success demands 10 things from you
- Vision: Success starts with a clear and compelling vision. Know what you want to achieve and why it really matters to you.
- Hard work: Don’t believe in luck. Believe in hard work. There are no short cuts to Success. Be prepared to put in the time, energy, and dedication required to excel in your chosen field.
- Patience: If you’re losing the patience, then, you’re losing the battle. The truth is, Success takes time. An impatient man will certainly fail the test, and remain a ‘drop-out.’
- Sacrifice: If you are not willing to sacrifice for what you really want and want to attain, then what you want will, in turn, become the very thing you are sacrificing. You need to realize that the truth about success is that it usually comes at a cost; it will inevitably cost you something significant and valuable. So you have to be ready to give up a certain level of comfort and ease for your dreams and aspirations to come into being and become real.
- Consistency: Challenges will surely surface, but success demands the ability to bounce back and keep pressing forward despite the difficulties. Consistency is what transforms ‘average’ into ‘excellence.’
- Discipline: Success requires consistent effort and self-control. Stay committed to your goals even when motivation fails. Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing.
- Self-confidence: Confidence is not like ‘they will like me.’ Confidence means ‘I’ll be fine if they don’t like me.
Develop high level of courage even when no one out there applauds you or claps for you. Begin to be your own cheerleader. You definitely need it to climb. - Positive attitude: This may not be able to solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
Focus on your goals and not on your obstacles.
When you focus on what is truly important, the rest will not matter, and you can move forward with clarity. - Humility: You don’t know it all. Humble yourself to learn and grow. Where your knowledge ends continues from another great man. Pride shuts the door of a promising future.
- Total Dependence of God: You may be smart and intelligent. Bear in mind that not all smart people attain success.
It’s not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth MERCY.
